4. What is the difference between Repeater, Router and Gateway?
  Repeater: Repeater is an electronic device. It operates on only the physical layer of the OSI model. Repeater regenerates the weak signal and extends the limit of the network. It does not change the functionality of the network.
Bridge: It operates at the data link layer. It connects two network together.
Router: Router operate at the third layer i.e. network layer of the ISO-OSI model. It connect more than two different types of network. Router determine the short path in between source and destination for data transmission.
